Kidslingo had the incredible opportunity to deliver a Language & Communication workshop to a group of over 60 Early Years specialists at the Childcare & Education Expo at London Olympia last weekend. This exciting event brought together passionate professionals dedicated to early childhood education, and Kidslingo was thrilled to share how fun, interactive language learning can support children’s communication skills from a young age.

During the 30-minute interactive session, the Kidslingo team delivered a mini Spanish and French class, demonstrating a dynamic and engaging approach to language learning. The session was designed to showcase how movement, music, and play can enhance children’s language acquisition and communication skills.

The workshop featured a variety of interactive activities, including:
💃🏻👣👏 Flamenco moves – participants tried out golpe y palmas (stamping and clapping), immersing themselves in the rhythm of this traditional Spanish dance.
🇪🇸🎶 Head, shoulders, knees and toes in Spanish – a fun, active way to introduce key vocabulary while encouraging movement and participation.
🇫🇷🔢🌈 Colours and numbers in French – using engaging activities to make learning new words a playful and memorable experience.
🧸🫧 Parachute fun & bubbles with a rainbow teddy – a multisensory activity designed to capture children’s imagination while reinforcing language concepts.

The session was full of energy, enthusiasm, and laughter, demonstrating how language learning can be an exciting and immersive experience for young children. The Early Years specialists who attended left inspired, equipped with practical ideas to integrate language learning into their own settings.

Kidslingo was delighted to be part of such a fantastic event, highlighting the importance of early language exposure and the benefits of making learning fun, interactive, and accessible for all children. Much fun was had by all! 🎉
