Kidslingo – an award-winning kids’ language company – aims to inspire young children from birth to age 11 years to learn French & Spanish through the structured use of songs, actions, rhymes, game play, stories and drama.

We want the children that we teach to be inspired by languages, to feel that language learning is a positive, exciting and fun experience and to set a strong foundation for their approach to languages throughout their education and their lives in general.

Kidslingo is dedicated to delivering our Frenchtastic and Spanishtastic language classes to children up & down the UK in a fun and interactive way. We offer a wide of range of services for schools:

  • curriculum classes across the school
  • PPA cover
  • breakfast, lunch time and after school language clubs
  • organising and managing language day events
  • Primary INSETs to equip your colleagues to teach Spanish and French confidently.

We can provide structured weekly Spanish and French lessons and clubs for Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), which follow the new National Curriculum guidelines for a foreign language.

Our focus is on teaching languages through fun interaction, using a mixture of songs, rhymes, stories, games, ICT-based activities and drama. Our plans are all tailored to the age and ability of the class and we utilise a wide variety of online resources, to ensure lessons remain fresh and relevant.

We can provide lessons as part of the standard school day, or we can offer language learning through breakfast, lunch time and after school clubs.

We offer fun and hugely interactive one off French and/or Spanish days which can be tailormade to your exact requirements. Often these happen near the end of the summer term around Bastille Day (14th July), but can happen at any time of the year to fit with your school’s activities and themes – Art Day, Food, History, sports day.

For a French theme, we have set up French markets and cafes, built Eiffel towers, made delicious croissant, created collage French flags and pastel drawings of the Paris skyline on Bastille Day.

We have links with specialist crepe makers who will demonstrate their skills and then cook crepes for everyone, and even let a few pupils become their apprentice chefs.

If you are planning for your existing teaching staff to teach French or Spanish themselves, then we can empower them with the language skills and a whole range of teaching ideas. We can provide full day, half day or Twilight INSETS providing a comprehensive introduction to teaching French or Spanish at primary level. Throughout the term we can be available for further small sessions with teachers to check on progress, answer any queries and provide plans for the next term.
