French & Spanish Immersive Enrichment Experiences for Primary & Secondary Schools
Engage your pupils in their language learning with our immersive ‘Visit Spain’ or ‘Visit Paris’ experience that will transform your school hall through the clever use of props and our Spanish / French speaking staff! Experiences available for KS1 – KS3 / P1 – S2 in Scotland.
Our immersive experiences are a big tick for cultural capital, providing opportunities for pupils to use their Spanish or French language in an authentic environment. The experience allows children to gain an understanding of the richness and diversity of Spain / France and beyond.
Having passed through passport control and boarded the plane to Spain / France, the children will visit a range of fun places such as an ice cream stand, souvenir shop, café and then pop their postcards home into a yellow post box before flying home.
There are plenty of opportunities for interaction with our Spanish / French speaking staff members.
We provide follow-up activities to consolidate the learning from the experience in the classroom including a passport of activities.
DETAILS
The experience takes place across a whole day and requires the space to be available for 1 hour before and after school for set-up/clear up. We recommend 5 sessions in the day with 30 pupils per session (so 150 pupils in total across the day).
At Kidslingo we pride ourselves on tailoring our packages to the requirements of each school and will work with you to ensure that the pupils will make progress throughout the session and have a great time too! Prices are available upon request. Please fill in the form below to find out more.
The video link below shows snippets from the French ‘Trip to Paris’ (1st minute) and the Spanish ‘Trip to Spain’ (2nd minute).
SCHOOL QUOTE – PRIMARY
“The children thoroughly enjoyed the Spanish Enrichment Day. From boarding the “plane” to shopping in the souvenir shop and buying ice creams, they were fully immersed in their learning throughout the day.
The children engaged exceptionally well with the authentic experiences that had been created. Using euros to purchase ice creams and souvenirs helped them understand and relate to one of the key differences between Spain and the UK.
The highly interactive nature of the activities ensured that all children remained engaged, focused, and eager to demonstrate and share their Spanish knowledge.
The sessions were paced perfectly and pitched appropriately for all learners, from our beginner Spanish speakers in Year 2 to our more advanced pupils in Year 6. The scaffolded resources enabled every child to participate confidently, practise key vocabulary and phrases, and then apply them in realistic role-play situations.” Newbold C of E Primary School
“We have just had Kidslingo in to run a workshop for year 7 and I can highly recommend. The sessions were engaging, packed with fun and really enjoyed by our students, giving them the opportunity to practice the skills they have learnt this year. The session was pitched perfectly and we will certainly be booking this again.” GBHS Chelmsford
“There was some fantastic language speaking throughout the day, alongside a wonderfully fun and playful atmosphere. A huge thank you to Kidslingo for delivering such an engaging experience – you were amazing!” Queen Mary’s Academy
