My name is Maria I am a native Spanish speaking tutor with 10 years of experience teaching Spanish to young children from 18 months up to age 11 years.

My Kidslingo journey started back in 2018 when I was a Spanish tutor for a different Kidslingo franchise and in 2021 I was offered my own franchise!! From the first moment I started running classes using the Kidslingo multi award winning programme I loved it and after all this time I am still loving it!!!

I deliver award-winning Spanish classes in South West Leicestershire in the postcode areas LE8, LE9, LE17, LE18, LE19 and surrounding areas at:

• Primary School Clubs: Breakfast/Lunch/After School
• Nurseries
• Childminders
• Private face to face/online.
• Venues
• Home Ed

All the lessons are full of fun!!! Children will be learning Spanish with songs, games, role play, activities and worksheets which are all related to the topic the child will be learning. All the lessons are planned to accommodate the child’s age, level and ability to learn.

A little about me:

I was born in Barcelona in the Northeast of Spain, where my mother originates from, making us both Catalan.

My dad was from the North of Spain, Vizcaya (El Pais Vasco/Euskadi). I have been brought up hearing different languages, especially Catalan.

I have to admit I have never learned this language but I did manage to learn words and make little sentences just by overhearing my mum talking to other family members.

Days after I was born, we moved to Madrid, where I learned Castellano. Madrid is where I was raised with my two older sisters.

When I was 21 I moved to Ireland to learn English and after a few years traveling around the island and working, I came to England with my son and his Dad. I have brought up my son bilingual, which has helped him with his Spanish GCSE.

I have always enjoyed working with children but now I am teaching them my very own language and I also love to share Spanish costumes with them. The Kidslingo Spanish program is my dream job!!.
