I’m Rachel and I bring our fun, multi-award-winning Kidslingo Spanish classes to children up to 11 years old. With my team of lovely tutors, I offer:

• Extracurricular Spanish clubs in primary schools
• Spanish classes as an EYFS enrichment activity for nurseries, pre-schools & childminders
• Private Spanish lessons for individual children or groups of siblings/friends

Note that classes/clubs in educational and childcare settings are only available to children who attend those settings.

ABOUT OUR CLASSES

Our multi-award-winning Kidslingo Spanish classes are designed for children from birth up to 11 years old. Our programmes support the national curriculum for each stage – early years, key stage 1, and key stage 2. We use an action-packed combination of songs, drama, games, Makaton signs, actions, role play and stories.

ABOUT ME

I’m Rachel and I’ve been with Kidslingo since 2019. With my team of wonderful tutors, I offer Spanish classes in Epsom, Surbiton, Esher, Weybridge, Leatherhead, Cheam and neighbouring areas.

My passion for learning and using foreign languages started over 30 years ago. I have twice embraced the opportunity to live in Spain. Firstly, I went to university in Murcia, and later I lived for many years in Barcelona with my husband and two children – who enjoyed a trilingual early upbringing by default. Both of these were hugely significant life experiences for me personally and professionally. I wholeheartedly feel that learning languages helps to open doors in life – allowing you to make new friends, enjoy exciting adventures, and take full advantage of rewarding opportunities that you might not otherwise be exposed to.

After spending much of my career in marketing roles, the time arrived for me to explore an alternative path – and now here I am, proud to be part of the dynamic Kidslingo team! I love putting my passion for all things Spanish into practice by working with my tutors to teach the next generation, inspiring children to develop their own love of learning languages so they can embark on a life full of opportunities and adventure!

Booking, pricing and payment info

IMPORTANT:

A 2% handling fee applies to all bookings. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to read the TERMS AND CONDITIONS during online registration.

You will receive an immediate email confirmation of your registration. Please read this carefully and check for mistakes. An enrolment confirmation email will follow, once processed. Any errors you made when completing the online registration form should be notified immediately to rachel.trew@kidslingo.co.uk. If you do not see our booking-related emails in your inbox, please check your junk mail folder and add this email address to your contacts/safe senders list. 

Booking info

• Booking is for all remaining classes, i.e. till the end of the current term. Autumn term is September to December, Spring term is January to March/April, and Summer term is April to July.
• Casual (pay-as-you-go) booking is not available, nor is temporary enrolment up till the half-term break, nor can we make deductions to club fees for any sessions that you already know your child will not be able to attend.
• Children can join a class at any time during the term, subject to availability, and the class fees will be adjusted automatically for the relevant number of sessions remaining in the term.
• Trials packages may occasionally be available: pay for a reduced number of weeks (the number will be stated and this refers to continuous weeks), before deciding whether to enrol for the rest of the term. Trial packages are only for children who have never been enrolled in Kidslingo classes nor attended a trial/taster before. If available, there will be a TRIAL COURSE button alongside the relevant class. Trial packages are limited and can be offered and withdrawn at any time. Please note that our usual terms & conditions also apply to trial bookings.
• Free trials/tasters are not generally available. Occasionally we may run ‘bring-a-friend’ promotions with current students in our clubs, where they can invite a friend for 2 sessions free of charge. This is subject to the parent/carer of the invited friend contacting us at rachel.trew@kidslingo.co.uk and completing the online registration to which you will be directed. No payment will be taken, but should your child wish to continue after their free 2-week trial, payment must be made before their next session.
• Places in group classes are strictly limited. If your preferred class is full you can register your details to join the WAITING LIST.
• In future terms, currently enrolled students generally get priority renewal of their enrolment, to aid continuity of their Spanish learning journey. Second priority then goes to any students registered on the waiting list for that class/club (a swift response will probably be required), before any remaining places are promoted to new students.
• There is a separate booking link for each class. For new or non-current customers, if you have more than one child and need to book a different class for each, you will need to complete the booking for one child and check out, and then return to the beginning and select the correct class for the next child, and check out again. For existing customers, you can do everything in one transaction through the customer portal.

Class pricing

• The price of the class you wish to book can be seen when you click the ENROL NOW button (or TRIAL COURSE if available).
• The price of each class varies by school or early years setting, depending on several factors such as room hire fees charged to us by the school, duration of the class, whether we have more than one class running in that setting, etc.
• Sibling discounts are not available.
• The price includes free term-time access to our exclusive Kidslingo game site. This applies to fully enrolled students only. Students enrolled in trials will only get access if they decide to continue for the rest of the term and the corresponding payment is made.
• For private lessons, please email rachel.trew@kidslingo.co.uk to discuss your requirements. Note that there is an initial fixed price for 1-6 children, and for larger groups it will be in line with school club pricing.

Payment for classes

• Note that a 2% handling fee applies to all bookings.
• You have a choice of 2 payment methods during online registration (full enrolment):
  • Payment in full by credit/debit card (ThinkSmartPay by ClearAccept)
  • Payment by direct debit in instalments (GoCardless – see further details below*)
• Further payment options are not available, and no special arrangements will be made for individual customers.
• For customers wishing to register their child in a class where their place will be funded by their school or early years setting, according to the school’s PP policy, please email rachel.trew@kidslingo.co.uk in confidence so we can send you the relevant registration link that does not require you to make payment. You will also need to ask the school to email rachel.trew@kidslingo.co.uk to confirm the funded place, before we can confirm your child’s enrolment.
• For customers enrolling their child in a 3-week trial (where available), payment will be made by credit/debit card during online registration. There is no option for direct debit with trial enrolments.
• Please note that we cannot accept payment by childcare vouchers or through your tax-free childcare account, as Kidslingo is a children’s activity provider and not a registered childcare provider.

*You will set up a direct debit mandate with GoCardless during online registration. Please consider the following points when selecting if direct debit is the right payment method for you:

Choosing to pay by direct debit is not a subscription. You will not be automatically enrolled in classes in a future term, and you do not need to take any action if you don’t wish to renew your enrolment. 

You will always receive at least 3 days notice from GoCardless of any payment due to be collected by direct debit.

For enrolments made before the first session of the term, class/club fees will normally be collected in two instalments: 50% within 1 week of registration, and 50% at the beginning of the 2nd month of classes. The 2nd month of classes refers to October, February and May for the autumn, spring and summer terms respectively; all fees are required to be paid and cleared well in advance of the half-term break.

For early enrolments, this payment schedule allows you to spread the cost of your child’s Spanish classes. However, in the case of last-minute enrolments, it means your two instalments may not be very far apart. For example, if you enrol early for the autumn term, e.g. 20 July, 50% will be collected around 24-27 July and 50% in early October; if you enrol at the beginning of the autumn term, e.g. 10 September, 50% will be collected around 14-17 September and 50% at the beginning of October.

For customers enrolling their child part way through the term, and especially if the 2nd instalment is about to be (or has already been) collected from other customers, your pro-rated class/club fees may need to be collected in full in a single direct debit transaction rather than in two instalments. 

Please note that upon enrolment, you are liable for the full term’s class/club fees, even if paying by direct debit in instalments. Autumn term is September to December, Spring term is January to March/April, Summer term is April to July. If a direct debit transaction fails or if you cancel your direct debit mandate before the full term’s fees have been paid, you will be required to make immediate payment by credit/debit card instead (the full balance) plus the failed payment charge, before your child can return to the class. 

If you encounter any problems setting up your direct debit mandate on the GoCardless site during online registration (very occasionally, GoCardless has not been able to accept a customer’s bank details), we are unable to offer technical help and you may wish to select the credit/debit card payment method instead in order to secure your child’s place in the club without further delay.
