ABOUT ME
A little about myself… as a fully qualified Languages Teacher with a degree in Spanish and French from Exeter University, I have 18 years experience of teaching the whole primary and secondary age ranges in prep and secondary schools. My passion for languages started from an early age and has taken me all around the world. Following working in France and extensive travel through South America I decided to become a teacher in order to inspire the love of learning languages in our younger learners. I have two children of my own and know how important it is to start learning languages at an early age. The French language and culture are so rich and varied – it is a joy to learn and a pleasure to teach! Your child will undoubtedly love the experience!
I love to make learning fun, engaging and interactive as this is how young children learn at their best. I’m very excited to be joining the Kidslingo programme which is perfectly designed with this in mind, learning through play, songs, games, drama and stories.

How Learning a Second Language Boosts Your Child’s Speech and Language Development. Discover how learning French or Spanish can support your child’s communication skills, confidence, and overall language development. Many parents are surprised to learn that introducing a second language at an early age doesn’t just teach new words - it actually strengthens a child’s speech and language development.

This year, Languages Week Scotland runs from Monday 2 to Friday 6 February 2026. The week is a national celebration of language learning and multilingualism. It’s a brilliant chance for schools, nurseries, childminders and families to spotlight the many languages spoken in Scotland – and to give children a positive, playful experience of languages.
