About me

¡Hola! I’m Leona, and I lead the Kidslingo Spanish language programme across Central and West Bolton. I hold a BA (Hons) in Spanish and French and have been a qualified languages teacher for 15 years. As part of my degree, I spent 10 months living in Madrid, where I taught English in a primary school before completing my training as a secondary school teacher. I’m also a proud mum to a three-year-old little girl whom I’m raising to be bilingual. I’m passionate about making language learning engaging and enjoyable, and I truly believe that early exposure to another language is a wonderful way to nurture a child’s development and boost their confidence.

About our classes

At Kidslingo we aim to inspire little ones to love languages and grow in confidence!

The focus of our innovative method is on learning Spanish through songs, drama, age-appropriate games, actions, role play, stories and most importantly lots of fun.

Research shows that there are a lot of advantages to learning a foreign language from a very young age such as increased brain mass, memory and critical thinking skills. It gives children greater flexibility of mind. In the long term, it opens opportunities for future employment and multicultural understanding. Our fun and interactive lessons will also boost your children self-confidence, self-esteem and enhance their natural creativity and curiosity.

It’s never too early (or too late) to start learning a new language. Children absorb new words and mimic new sounds amazingly well. By learning through play, they feel confident about putting their new linguistic skills into practice.

All of our innovative learning programmes deliver inspiring and engaging lessons, which cater for each specific age range:

0 – 18 months – Multi-sensory baby class with a flavour of Spanish
18 months – 4 years – Pre-school class
4 – 8 years – Infant class
7 – 11 years – Junior club
