¡Hola y bienvenidos!
I’m Charmaine and I’m so excited to be bringing the leading, multi award-winning Kidslingo Spanish classes to Horsham, Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. Our fun-filled Spanish classes are gold-accredited by the Children’s Activities Association and inspire young children from birth to age 11 years to love languages.

At Kidslingo, we teach Spanish through fun and interactive learning using a range of songs, games, actions, story-telling and role play. Children develop confidence to speak and understand Spanish and reading and writing is supported with age-appropriate work sheets. Our lessons have been carefully developed and are aligned to the National Curriculum or Early Years Foundation Stage.
Classes are available for:
- Primary Schools – PPA cover/Lunch/After school clubs
- Online Group classes
- Home Educators
- Private face to face and online tuition for children up to 11 years
Due to the current environment, group and private classes are mainly being held online at the moment, but as this changes it is hoped that more of the above face to face options will be offered.
I’m a qualified Primary School teacher with over 7 years experience of working in local Primary Schools as a class teacher, supply teacher and PPA teacher. Prior to this I also taught in schools in France, Italy and Japan. I’m half-Mexican and as a child I always took an interest in the Spanish songs my mum used to sing and as soon as I had the chance to learn another language at school, my passion for languages grew. I went on to study French and Italian at the University of Leeds and picked up some Japanese during my year on the JET Programme in Japan. To me, speaking another language is like having a super power and it’s this I want to share with children. There are so many benefits to children learning another language from increasing their confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills to making them more open-minded and interested in other cultures.
