Kidslingo launches design your own lesson competition!

July 8, 2021

Kidslingo has launched a competition for budding young linguists to design their own French or Spanish lesson. The aim is to inspire creative thinking and engage the children in the educational development process of Kidslingo’s fun curriculum.

The entrants need to write a short summary of their idea and draw an accompanying picture to win the chance of their idea being made into a Kidslingo lesson. There are two age categories for entry – 4 – 7 years and 8 – 11 years.

Not only will the winning ideas be transformed into a fun and engaging lesson – winners in each age range will receive a £50 voucher to spend on books or games at Little Linguist and runners up will receive a £20 voucher.

However the fun doesn’t stop there, as the ideas will also be made into games on the Kidslingo website, that currently features over 150 games in both French and Spanish. This is a completely FREE offering to all Kidslingo customers.

How to enter? It’s so easy to enter – just go to https://www.kidslingo.co.uk/competition/ – print off the entry form and let your little ones get creative! The entry can then either be given to a Kidslingo teacher or emailed to info@kidslingo.co.uk by 28th July. Winner will be announced on 1st August.

Bonne chance! ¡Buena suerte!

The rise of bilingual nurseries – Yüme profile

There has been a distinct rise in bilingual nurseries in recent years - something we hugely support at Kidslingo. We live in an international society and research proves that children who speak two languages (or more) are at an intellectual and cultural advantage. It is critical to give children the opportunity to speak another language as early as possible. We have invited the founders of the new Yüme English/Spanish bilingual nursery to tell us about the philosophy behind their brand.
